Angelina Gilbert-Swann, Mum of twins born Oct 2013
I employed Bev for 3 nights to help with our twins and this helped me to catch up on sleep. We connected really well and had immediate confidence and trust in her. She was so calm and obviously qualified by training and experience, I felt totally able to hand over with no concerns. This was a great relief to me as it gave me the first few hours sleep in 3 days due to a re-occurring back injury I was exhausted!
Bev was also happy to chat and share her own experience with me. I felt immediately connected , there was no awkwardness. She is very calming and instilled confidence, without being pushy or telling me how it works. She listened and provided support, I was very lucky to have found her and would use her again if I needed to. It was like having a friend to stay over not a Doula.
If you get the right person (I was lucky 1st time with Bev) Doulas can offer support, space and reassurance at times when needed, if I need help in future, am unwell or need a break etc I can be assured that I would use Bev again!
Rachel Walsh, mum to Amelie Grace born 2009.
As a single mum facing parenthood alone, Beverley helped me with a natural empathic support both antenatally and during the birth and postnatally.
I was subjected to a mentally torturous time during my pregnancy by my ex partner, Beverley was there to support me throughout this time. She listened and gave me the chance to speak and made no verbal judgements or gave advice. Instead she signposted me to various organisations which helped me a great deal, which is just what I needed.
During my long labour and traumatic birth, Beverley was there for me for a full 24 hours, held my birth space respectfully, helping me with all my needs, providing soothing words and massaging me and offering loads of encouragement along the way. She helped me come to the right decisions during labour and had a good rapport with the midwives. I couldn’t have done it without her support.
Postnatally, she helped me for a full 3 weeks until I settled into being a confident parent to my daughter. She help me in establishing a good latch for my baby to fully empty my breasts, this is so important to stop engorgement. She helped around the house, made wholesome meals, doing light housework and a bit of shopping whilst I enjoyed being with my daughter, getting to know her needs.
She provided continual support to me on the telephone no matter what time of day or night, Beverley is sensitive, supportive and a good listener. I would recommend Beverley and would talk to anyone who needs this sort of help that I was given by her.
I would definitely use Beverley again and I cannot recommend her highly enough!!

I am so glad I decided to encapsulate my placenta because I have had no problems with my milk supply, 7 months on and I have not had any bouts of post-natal depression. These 2 reasons were what lead me to look into placenta encapsulation in the first place because I had read that it could help with both. I trusted my instincts and the research I carried out, and it has not been in vain at all. Taking the capsules is a very easy and a natural way to try to keep your hormones balanced after the effects pregnancy can take on them, no side effects at all and would recommend all women look into doing the same, not only for themselves but their baby can benefit too, with a great milk supply and happy Mama!!
